Cookie Policy
The short version. This site sets one cookie by default: the one that remembers your cookie choice. Analytics and marketing cookies are not set unless you press “Accept all” or switch them on yourself. You can change your mind at any time using the link in the footer.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels, tags — do much the same job, and everything in this policy applies to them too.
In the UK, cookies are governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) alongside UK GDPR. PECR says we must get your consent before setting anything that is not strictly necessary for the service you asked for. That is exactly what our banner does: nothing optional loads until you choose.

These are exempt from consent under PECR regulation 6(4), because the site cannot provide the service you asked for without them.
Analytics — only with your consent
We are not running analytics at the moment. If we switch it on, this table will list exactly what is set, and the banner will ask you before anything loads. Our preference is a cookieless, privacy-friendly tool rather than a full advertising analytics stack.
Marketing — only with your consent
We are not running advertising or retargeting pixels at the moment. If we ever do, they will be listed here first and will only load after you allow marketing cookies.
Before launch: if you add an analytics or ads tool, list each cookie it sets in the tables above — name, purpose, lifetime, provider. A cookie policy that does not match what the site actually sets is the single most common compliance failure.
What we deliberately do not do
- No cookie banner that only offers “Accept”. Reject is one press, same size, same screen.
- No pre-ticked boxes. Analytics and marketing start switched off.
- No cookie walls. Refusing does not lock you out of anything.
- No fonts, scripts or images loaded from third-party CDNs, so no silent sharing of your IP address.
- No social media widgets or embedded trackers.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Press in the footer of any page. Your new choice replaces the old one straight away, and if you turn analytics or marketing off we clear those cookies.
You can also control cookies in your browser, and delete any that are already stored. The relevant settings are usually under Privacy or Site settings in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Blocking all cookies may break parts of many websites, though this one will still work.
