Terms of Service

Last updated:

The short version. You send us photos, we enhance them, you own the results. We never add food that was not on the plate. If you are not happy with an image we redo it once, free. If we still cannot get it right, you get your money back for that image.

1. Who you are dealing with

These terms are between you and MenuRefine.

Trading name, address and registration details to be published before launch.

By sending us a photo or placing an order you accept these terms. If something here does not work for your business, email us before ordering — we would rather agree it up front.

2. What we do

We take food photographs you already have and improve them: lighting, colour, contrast, sharpness, cropping, background clean-up and platform-ready sizing. We use both software tools and manual editing.

We are a photo editing service. We do not shoot photography on site, we do not write your menu copy, and we do not upload images to delivery platforms for you unless we have agreed that separately in writing.

3. The free sample

4. Orders and prices

Prices on this site are in pounds sterling and are the full amount you pay for that package. Each package covers a set number of photos; going over it means moving up a package or agreeing a custom price.

A price shown on the site is an invitation to enquire, not a binding offer. The contract starts when we confirm your order by email.

If we have quoted you a price and then need to change it — because the job turns out to be materially different from what was described — we will tell you before doing the work, and you can walk away without paying.

5. Payment

This website does not take payments. There is no checkout, no card form and no payment page. Nothing you do here can charge you.

The prices listed are what the packages cost. To order, you contact us — through the form, by email or on WhatsApp — and we reply with a written quote confirming the scope and the price. If you accept, we send an invoice by email and you pay by bank transfer.

Payment is due before the finished files are released, unless we have agreed different terms with you in writing. Nothing is taken up front, and the free sample costs nothing at any point.

6. Turnaround

Our normal turnaround is stated on each package: one or two working days from the moment we have all your photos and everything we need to start.

Turnaround is a target, not a guarantee. If we are going to be late we will tell you as soon as we know. If a delay caused by us makes the work useless to you — for example you needed it for a launch date you told us about in advance — you can cancel that order and we will refund it.

7. Changes and redos

8. Your photos

By sending us a photo you confirm that:

You keep ownership of your photos throughout. You give us permission to store and edit them only so we can do the work you asked for. We handle them as described in our Privacy Notice, and delete them after 90 days.

We will not show your images publicly — portfolio, website, social media — unless you give us written permission. We will not use them to train AI models without separate written permission.

If a claim is made against us because a photo you sent was not yours to send, you agree to cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it.

9. Honest images

This matters to us, and to your legal position, so it is a term and not a slogan.

10. What you get

When your invoice is paid, you own the enhanced images we deliver and may use them anywhere you sell — delivery platforms, your website, print, social media, paid advertising — with no time limit and no extra fee.

We keep ownership of our own working files, presets and methods. Nothing here transfers those.

11. Cancelling

Before we start: cancel by email and you pay nothing.

After we have started: you pay for the work already done, pro rata.

If you are buying as a consumer rather than for a business, you normally have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Because our work is made to your order and delivered digitally, that right ends once we begin, if you have asked us to start within the 14 days and acknowledged that. We will always set this out in the order confirmation.

We may cancel if you do not supply usable photos, if payment is not made, or if we are asked to produce something misleading. We will refund anything paid for work not done.

12. Liability

We will do the work with reasonable care and skill.

We do not promise any particular commercial outcome. We cannot promise more orders, more clicks or a higher rating — too much of that depends on your food, your prices, your delivery times and your competition. Nothing on this site should be read as such a promise.

If we get something wrong, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Keep your own copies of your original photos. We are not a backup service, and after 90 days our copies are gone.

13. Complaints

Email hello@menurefine.co.uk with your order reference and what went wrong.

Complaints about how we handle your personal data go to privacy@menurefine.co.uk, and you can take them to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

14. Law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when we confirmed it. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
